The City of Manteca, in partnership with the CivicWell, Catholic Charities Diocese of Stockton (CCDS), and a team of consultants led by Fehr and Peers, will prepare a plan to improve Downtown connectivity and access and help transform the area, especially in the vicinity of the Transit Center, into a high quality walkable and transit-oriented district. This project is funded through a Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant awarded to the City of Manteca.
The project is centered around an extensive resident and stakeholder engagement process in order to identify ways to improve safety and promote active modes of transportation (biking, walking, and rolling), support first and last mile connections to transit, and promote infill and revitalization. Community input will directly translate into a plan that includes design concepts and a prioritized plan with cost estimates.
